Meljac offers an exclusive glimpse of its skilled French craftsmanship

Meljac is proud to open the doors on its manufacturing facility and its entirely “Made in France” production process, which blends technical know-how and artisanal skill.
Since 1995, the company has been designing and manufacturing luxury electrical fittings in the Greater Paris region, using quality materials such as solid brass, tempered glass and porcelain. At its vast industrial facility, it produces light switches, sockets, reading lamps and casings for control panels, combining innovation, precision and specialist expertise.

” For 14 years now, our “Origine France Garantie” certification has reflected our expertise and the quality of our creations. It demonstrates our commitment to French craftsmanship, based on our skilled surface treatment work and our bespoke approach to design and manufacturing.
It is a mark of recognition both in France and abroad, where our products grace a host of prestigious venues, reflecting a growing desire for discreet, authentic luxury that stands the test of time. ”

Certification that showcases French know-how

“Origine France Garantie” certification is awarded by an independent body to products for which at least 50% of the unit cost price originated in France. For Meljac’s products, that figure generally lies between 70 and 95%, well above the requirement. Meljac first obtained this quality seal in 2012, and since then it has undergone an annual audit to guarantee the continued compliance of its products and bring new collections within the remit of the certification.
The OFG label acknowledges an approach in which all the key stages in the manufacturing process are performed by Meljac’s in-house experts: design, machining, engraving, polishing, surface treatment, varnishing and assembly. This deliberate choice preserves rare skills and ensures constant quality across all the company’s collections.
Meljac has also had EPV certification (for “Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant” or “Living Heritage Company”) since 2015, reflecting its commitment to a tradition of excellence in which human skill is combined with state-of-the-art technologies to achieve a remarkable level of quality.

Brass creations with an extensive palette of finishes

One of Meljac’s hallmarks is its brass work. Drawing on its incomparable expertise in surface treatment, the company has developed a range of 29 finishes on solid brass, giving architects and designers extensive creative freedom and the option of harmonising interior fittings.
These finishes include polished, satin, patinated and textured looks, all created in house through a delicate blend of artisanal skill and technical processes. Meljac also harnesses its know-how to cater to specific requests and design bespoke pieces that meet the requirements of each project.

Bespoke design as a driver for innovation

With an integrated design office, state-of-the-art prototyping and in-house production, Meljac is perfectly poised to work with specifiers through custom projects, optimising deadlines while always maintaining exquisite quality.

This approach enables Meljac to be responsive and flexible in developing novel solutions, whether adapting an existing product or designing a unique piece to fit seamlessly into the most demanding environments – high-end hotels, private homes, heritage sites and international projects.

Local production for durable quality

By keeping its manufacturing in France and investing regularly in its industrial facilities, Meljac knows that it is giving itself the tools it needs to maintain existing expertise while also driving innovation. The company is preparing to open a new surface treatment plant in Saint-Thibault-des-Vignes, just outside Paris. The site will enable Meljac to develop its production capabilities as its business grows.
This organisational structure underpins its continued commitment to producing reliable, durable, bespoke products.
Meljac’s OFG certification is part of a broader strategy aimed at showcasing the creative, professional, future-focused nature of French industry.
